WEEEELLLLL - maybe it was because I was the only one to show up to workout today at OP - which means there was NO WHERE to hide. After a 600 warm up, it was a set of 3 x 25 fly on :30 followed by an easy 50 back on the 1:30. We did that four times through and yes, I'll admit that I wore zoomers for the whole set. Gotta say though - I did that type of fly set at least once a week back in 2014 and had my best fly times since I came back to masters in 2005....hmmmmm...maybe I should start doing that set AGAIN, because my fly has certainly not been stellar as of late :0)
Then it was an easy 300 before the main set. For those of you that know I rarely swim more than a 25 without stopping (not as easy as it sounds when you have to do a bunch of them on short rest), you will be surprised that I actually relented to the work out as written (almost)! You will even be more surprised to hear it was a 125 on 2:00, 175 on 3:00, 250 on 4:00, 350 on 6:00, 250 on 4:00, 175 on 3:00, 125 on 2:00... and OMG - that's a frickin' total of 1450 yards!
So I guess that's why I'm tired!
